There are only two things in modern SEO. First one is well

sites (on same niche or industry). In this article we will see how to write search
engine optimized and sharable contents which will help in ranking higher on
different search engines. We provide optimized content writing training in

1. Quality Content
Writing contents are not important but writing optimized,
good quality, well researched, focused and informative contents relevant to
your industry with strong Call to Action (CTA) is very important. Remember,
here quality matters more that quantity. Write contents on interesting topics
related to your niche for your audience which will attract more shares and
engagements on social media platforms and will get more quality inbound links
from high authority sites naturally. Concentrate on a particular topic per article.
Creating content which is well written, informative and able to solve some
problems and add more knowledge and values to your audience is very much
important. Creating such contents regularly and frequently will surely boost search engine ranking over time. Always check the grammar, spelling
and punctuation of your articles before publishing them. Poor grammar and
spelling errors can stop you to rank higher on SERP.
2. Content Length
Though there is no hard and fast rule for content length but
it is always better to write long contents with minimum 500 words for better
indexing by search engines, though generally 1000+ words articles rank higher
on SERP. You can opt for two strategies, either you write a really long and
descriptive article with more than 1000 words or you can split that long
article into 2 or 3 different small articles with a minimum length of 500 words.
By doing so, you can actually target more separate keywords on Page Title, Meta
Description and H1 of those small articles. Do remember to write an article
with a minimum 500 words count.
3. Stay on the Niche
If you are writing for your business or if you want to be a
blogger, always do stick to your niche or industry. Adding some personality in
your writing is not a bad idea and this actually attracts more people to come
and read your blog more frequently and also helps in creating more engagements.
Only remember to be focused on the industry you represent (as a business or a blogger). Do not float into topics which are no-way related to your niche and writing
such contents frequently, may hamper your brand identity and overall ranking
gradually.
4. Research well on the content topic
After deciding a topic you want to write, the next thing you
should do is a thorough research on that topic. Consult the Wikipedia, reputed
blogs and article directories to have a clear understanding on what are the
points you want to elaborate in your content. If required, you can even talk to
other bloggers, writers, innovators, business leaders, entrepreneurs or
journalists to collect more information on it. Always try to deliver something
new in your content which your readers have not heard or learnt in the past.
5. Art of Keyword Analysis
Keyword analysis is one of the most important aspects for an
optimized content. There are couple of good keyword analysis tool in the market but
the best one is obviously the Google Adwords Keyword Planner tool. But before
using any SEO tool you should always analyse keywords manually by visiting
different article pages and webpages on the same topic. Better if you can
maintain an excel sheet to jot down the valuable keywords you are getting from
your competitor blogs or websites. After that you can use Google Key Planner
tool to refine the most valuable keywords in-terms of Search Volume and Search
Competition.
6. Learn On-Page Optimization
If you know how to do the onpage optimization then
you are surely going to win the search and ranking race. Writing a compelling Page
Title and Headings for your content can attract more readers from different
social media sites and social bookmarking sites which further ensure more
engagements, social signals and better ranking. Do not write generic and boring
Page Titles which simply describes what the article /page is all about. Always
mention your main keywords in your Page Title, Meta Description, Headers (H1….H6)
which helps search engines to crawl and index better and quicker. Inner-linking of different pages of your blog
or website can boost the ranking and user engagements. It even helps to minimize the bounce rate of your site which naturally gives you a higher ranking
gradually. Always use paragraphs and points to craft your content. Well structured, properly tagged content is very important for
better ranking on Google and other search engines.
7. Ideal Keyword Density
Keyword Density plays a major role in content optimization.
Make sure that you are not crossing 5% keyword density, though it depends on
various things. We generally write contents with 2% to 5% of keyword density.
Depending on the niche of your article, competition on the niche, business
demographic, article length etc. keyword density may vary. Do not include
keywords for search Engines rather write your article for your readers and
include keywords naturally and distribute them evenly throughout your content
so the article looks more natural and readable.
8. Don’t stuff keywords
Stuffing of keywords means placing number of keywords in an
article or a webpage or a portion of a webpage for better search engine
ranking. But it actually does more harm than good. Stuffing keywords makes the
content unreadable, somewhat meaningless & fragmented and search engines
hate this type of contents. Spammers and unethical optimizers used to use
keyword stuffing as a back/grey hat SEO technique to outsmart search engines
but search crawlers and specially Google has become more intelligent than ever
and can catch those types of spammy SEO practices easily and penalizes them severely.
9. Select and optimize images
A picture is worth 1000 words. Surely, but the picture should
be relevant to the topic. Selecting an image for an article can be a real job
for most of us. Finding and using an attractive, eye-catchy image which
describes the content prominently will attract more readers. Always write
descriptive name (include keywords) for an image, mention keywords in the alt tag and
also include proper image Title for better image optimization and ranking.
10. Original Content
Always write your own content. You can take the idea, data
from other blogs but do not just copy and paste it in your article. Rather
write your content in your own style. If you just copied your article from
another blog then Google and other search engines are smart enough to mark your
content as duplicate and de-rank (even may penalize) you on SERP. Though you
can always copy a small part of an article from another high authority blog or
website as a quotation to support your content but do remember to use quotation
(“) marks and always give a proper credit to the original author of that
article.
